UniDash for cafeterias

UniDash brings pre-ordering and in-app card payment to university and city cafeterias in Jordan. Students order ahead and collect at the counter; your staff receive every order on their phones, ready to prepare.

Overview

UniDash is a pickup-only ordering service. Students and guests browse your menu in the UniDash app, choose a pickup time, pay by card and collect their order at your counter. UniDash does not deliver, and your cafeteria remains the seller of everything ordered through it.

UniDash is developed and operated by Al Hujra Information Technology LLC, a company registered in Amman, Jordan (Companies Control Department registration no. 83622).

What your cafeteria receives

  • A listing in the UniDash app. Your full menu, with photos and prices in Arabic and English, in the app for iPhone and Android.
  • The UniDash Staff app for your counter. Every new order reaches every phone signed in to your account, and keeps alerting until a member of staff accepts it.
  • Live and scheduled queues. Orders placed for later wait in their own tab and join the live queue twenty minutes before their pickup time.
  • Substitutions with the student's consent. If an item runs out, your staff flag it and offer a replacement; the student decides.
  • Matching with your till. Each order shows a reference to write on your till receipt, so it is easy to find at the counter.
  • Control of sold-out items. Staff can stop an item from the counter app at any time. We set up your full menu at launch and keep it current with you.
  • Support. Our team answers students' questions about the app and supports your staff from the first day.

Payments and settlement

Card payments, by Visa and Mastercard, and by Apple Pay and Google Pay where enabled, are processed by Network International and protected by 3-D Secure.

Your cafeteria is the merchant of record. Payments are made to your business through a merchant account in its own name, and Network International settles them directly into your bank account. UniDash does not hold or handle your funds.

A service fee, shown to the student before payment, is added to card orders. The commercial terms, including how the service fee is handled, are set out in a written agreement with each cafeteria.

Requirements

  • A business registered in Jordan, with a valid commercial registration and a vocational licence for each branch.
  • A bank account in the business's name, for the settlement of card payments.
  • A merchant account with Network International in the business's name, or the documents to open one. We guide you through the application.
  • Your menu with prices, in Arabic and English where available, and photos where you have them.
  • Opening hours for each branch.
  • At least one smartphone, iPhone or Android, at each counter, with a reliable internet connection.

How to join

  1. Enquiry. Write to us with your business name, your branches and a contact person. We will reply to arrange a first meeting.
  2. Introductory meeting. We present UniDash, visit your branch and agree how orders will be handed over at your counter.
  3. Agreement. We sign a memorandum of understanding, followed by a service agreement that sets out the commercial terms.
  4. Payment set-up. Your business opens or connects its merchant account with Network International, so that card payments settle to it.
  5. Onboarding. We load your menu in Arabic and English, create your staff and admin accounts, and train your team on the UniDash Staff app.
  6. Launch. Your branch goes live in the UniDash app, and we remain with your team through its first weeks of service.
